WHO IS CAMERON SCOTT?

BIO

Cameron Scott (Wilson), II is a multi-hyphenate creative with a twenty-five-year career spanning music, ministry, artistry, and corporate administration.

An Alabama native, his musical journey began early. He was born into large families of singers and musicians, his mother and father both being great vocalists in their own right. He sang before he could speak and was playing piano by ear at the tender age of eight. He became the minister of music for his home church by age thirteen where started directing and arranging. A natural prodigy, he expanded his musical horizons in high school, formally learning to play the alto saxophone and teaching himself the sousaphone, trumpet, clarinet and other wind instruments in the school band.

During his undergraduate studies, he was trained in vocal performance at Jacksonville State University. While at JSU, he joined the JSU Gospel Choir under the direction of Dr. Myrtice Collins. He later transferred to the University of Alabama at Birmingham and joined the UAB Gospel Choir under the guidance of his mentor, the late Bishop Kevin P. Turner. At UAB, he discovered a passion for background vocals, showcased as a principal vocalist on their 2012 album, "Nu Soul City."

This experience propelled him into the Birmingham music scene, where he collaborated with local artists and established himself as a sought-after vocalist. He credits his early professional sharpening to his work with Valerie T. [Smith] Webb (who later appeared as a finalist on Season 24 of "The Voice").

In 2016, he joined Higher Calling, the Atlanta-based choir founded by his godfather, the late Minister Kevin S. Lemons. Under Kevin's mentorship, Cameron further expanded his musical horizons, lending his voice to television, film, and studio projects for numerous major artists.

Beyond music, Cameron has successfully leveraged his skills from a corporate career in banking, healthcare administration, and higher education, venturing into other entrepreneurial endeavors such as personal assistance and graphic design.

Driven by a passion for creativity and a commitment to excellence, Cameron continues to explore and express himself through music and beyond, leaving a lasting impact on all who encounter his unique artistry.

THE MEDIA CREATIVE.

Birthed from a desire to see a higher quality of brand representation online, Cameron taught himself the basics of graphic design. Later, he partnered with Jeramiah Roberts of FashionMr. Styles, LLC to learn more about graphics and the ropes of social media management and content creation. Years later, he's branched out on his own in both arenas.
